A wide variety of accessories for inflatable boats, motors, and fishing is available at Crabzz. Picking the right accessories is as important as selecting a suitable outboard motor. With just a few minor add-ons, you could significantly boost your experience on the water, make your trips way more comfortable, organize your gear and reduce the stress involved with assembly, transportation and organization.
Hinged Transom for Inflatable Boats
The transom is at the very rear of the boat, and its job is to hold up the rudder and propeller shaft while keeping them out of the water so that they can function correctly. It's also responsible for keeping water from entering the rear part of the boat where passengers are seated or standing in case of rough waters or choppy waves.
The Navigator hinged transom for inflatable boats is designed for outboard motors with a maximum horsepower of not more than 3.5 L/S
How to Choose?
The boat's transom is essential because it makes up the end of the vessel and makes it safer to operate the boat. The geometry of the transom will affect how effectively your boat can plane and reach maximum speed in open water.
Choosing an even-balanced transom that compliments the overall design of your boat is key to getting you through rough waters without sacrificing speed or putting undue strain on any one part of your vessel.
Measure your boat and ensure that you purchase a transom capable of supporting your motor (i.e. 75HP outboard requires at least a 6in thick transom).
The mounting plate must match or exceed whichever specification your propeller's motor mount requires.
Almost all of the PVC inflatables support the hinged transom.
